The UK is blessed with myriad professional couriers who are experts when it comes to package delivery.
These are the guys and girls who make sure that your parcel gets from A to B safely, securely and in the quickest time possible. Many years of experience has led to couriers delivering the highest standards of service possible for their customers.
Should this be through logistical technologies such as satellite navigation, or the precise tracking of packages, your package is safe as soon as it leaves your hands.

However, those sending fragile or electronic items should be careful that they do everything within their power to make sure that the object is packaged in a safe and secure manner ready for transport.
The following are a few tips on how to package your item responsibly.
Packing
Use square shaped boxes for your item rather than wrapping an item loose. Unless you are sending something as durable as a brick, it isn’t worth the bother of risking the sides of the item to be damaged whilst in transit.
The materials that you do pack your item in should be of a high quality and have a thickness appropriate for the item. Think carefully about what kind of cardboard you are going to use for example. If necessary, double package your item or surround it with a soft buffering material like polystyrene balls or similar. Always place the item in the middle of the container.
Securing
Use a good quality tape to properly secure the item when it is boxed. You could even tape the majority of the item which will give it a much greater stability on all sides but do try to consider the recipient of the item when it reaches its destination!
Tracking
Remove any old labels that are still present on the packaging. This could confuse your delivery or the person receiving the gift. Plus, if it is a corporate package, it looks terribly unprofessional.
Always complete the address fields in the neatest text you can. The same goes for a return address. Sloppy handwriting not only takes a while to decipher, but it could also show a lack of consideration on your part when it arrives at its destination.
Make sure that you hang onto all receipts and delivery confirmation notes just in case you need them at a later date.
